First and foremost, You may be a good friend of mine, so please do not be offended that I sent you here. If you are a good friend of mine, most likely you sent me some political email and this is the way I respond. I hope you still love me, and understand I have my opinion just like you have yours.

I get many emails from people who do not know me at all, because they frequent my website. If you are one of those people, that is fine, I welcome your email, but please read on:

I believe in the separation of church and state. If you don't, that is fine. We can co-exist in the same community, in the same group, even in the same house. We can watch each other's kids, play a game of Chess, talk about music, walk in the park, email, etc.

To prevent any hard feelings, both for the sender, and for me, if anyone sends me religious political email, I will do as it usually orders and delete it, the first time, and I will reply with a request to come here and read this. If I get more religious political email I will reply to it, so please do not consider my reply as "forcing my opinion on you" because, please remember, You emailed me first, and I warned ya. I know my pen is my mighty sword, or in this case the keys, and I know I am extremely passionate in my own opinions, but that is just me. If you know that about me, and choose to send me email about religious politics, or false rumors, then you know I will be replying in my classic verbose manner.

I just want you to know that if you email me with this type of email, that is okay. It is your opinion, and you are mailing it to me to try to benefit me in some way. Please don't assume that I will laugh at it because it is written in some sort of joke form. It is okay to send to me really, I just want it to be known that I will reply, and I will be replying with all of my opinions about the email. Some think that when they send you religious political email, if you don't like it, you should just delete it, like it tells you to do, sort of a nicer way of saying either you agree, or shut-up. Anyone is free to think that way, of course, but I don't. I believe that if you send me your points of view, I will reply with mine, no matter how funny or cute you think the original email was, then you can delete my reply like your forward told ME to do, or you can reply again. I don't care, I love a debate, and I can stick to the issues without making the issues personal. I can debate intelligently with an intelligent person over a political issue without resorting to personal attack until the cows come home. I won't call you a poopyhead, I won't embarrass you in, or kick you out of any forums, or mess with your membership in any way, (like some people have done to others in the past because they could not handle a valid reply after having bombarded a person with their political opinions,) but if you do choose to email me with this type email, I will state every single one of my opinions on why the email is absurd.

This includes any rant emails about prayer in public school, celebration of certain holidays in public places, How the majority should rule and the minority should shut-up, How who was here first and who started what in relation to what holidays should be celebrated and what should religiously be in a public place, how one should express happy wishes for another at times when one or more religions have a holiday on a calender date or dates in common,  or any racist emails about how some ethnic or religious group should leave America, etc, etc, etc.

I want to also mention that when you get an email about anything unusual asking you to forward, like a missing child, a new computer virus, a man in china who is pregnant etc. please check out the validity of the email before you send it to a hundred people and me. You can go to http://snopes.com/ and type in some of the rumor into the search box and see if it is true or false or unfounded. It drives me bananas to open a forward, which usually has been forwarded to lists and lists of people, causing me to have to open it several times or to scroll way down the page, over hundreds of names, when the rumor actually could have  been copied and pasted to a new email with 10 seconds of effort, only to find some bogus information that has been floating around on the internet since 1998.

Please keep in mind that if you send any of these types of email to a group, such as a yahoo group or a google group for example, you are sending the email to everyone in the group, not just to the people that you know will agree with it. This group may or may not include me, and/or others who share my point of view. When you send to a group you are sending to everyone in the group.
