Verizon
The Devil on earth.

Verizon
Verizon is horrible! My daughter and I are
on a shared plan. Her phone broke ~ I had purchased full coverage
insurance, by the way ~ she upgraded to a different phone and had her
number changed. What Verizon did was cancel MY number and switch her
OLD number to my phone, unbeknownst to either of us. Plus, they
continue to charge her a premium on the new phone EVERY MONTH. She paid
in full for the upgrade the same day she got the phone. I am locked
into a 2 year contract with them and can't wait for it to end. ---

Verizon, Verizon, Verizon.
The absolute worst. It's a long story, but to make it short, I had
Verizon, and was visiting my son who was finishing his training in the
Army. He was getting a cell phone, and we went to Verizon. They opened
an account for him, ect. He called me from Germany and told me he wasn't
getting his bill for Verizon. I tried to call on his behalf, but they
kept telling me the account wasn't mine and my son would have to call.
When my son called, they told him it wasn't his account either, and they
wouldn't talk to him. The end result was, I get a notice that the bill
wasn't being paid. The first and ONLY correspondence from Verizon for
this cell phone. My son paid the bill, through me, and then he was
deployed to Afghanistan. Verizon refused to let him me out of the
contract, ( it turns out they had opened a separate account in my name,
without my knowledge or approval ) I told them the account was opened
after the sales lady asked me if I had Verizon, and then told me that my
son could open a Verizon account with my "refferal". In other words, I
was scammed. So, my son had to pay $225 to let me get out of the
contract, even though the phone was in his name, and had an area code
from a distant state. I told the "customer service" Rep., "Why would I
open a separate account, with an area code from another state when I
could have just added my son to my existing account?" Grrrrrrrrrr!!
Another really bad one is Charter cable/internet. Whatever you do, DONT
subscribe to this service if you can help it. I did, and they charged me
$365 for installation and the first month of cable TV and internet. The
internet kept disconnecting, and I was lucky to have it 3 days out of 7.
The tech guys were at my house 3 or 4 times, and then Charter tried to
charge me for service calls!! I Googled Charter and found literally
thousands of other people from all over the USA who had similar
problems. Whew!!! Thanks for letting me vent! God bless. ---Bluesingingcat
